The start of a VERY busy week

TERRY
Yesterday was the first day since Terry went into the hospital (66 days ago) that I did not talk to her.  I called her 3 times and it went to voice mail.  Finally in the afternoon I called the nurse and she said Terry had been sleeping much of the day.  Very little sleep at night had caught up with her.  I told the nurse that I would not call again until today.  It seems that Terry continues to be somewhat confused in the morning but then gets much better as the day goes on.  Still hoping for a homecoming this month.

Starting today things will be a whirlwind for the week.  Sister Joan is flying in to St. Paul this afternoon and we will be together until she leaves Saturday.  Sister Helen will fly in tomorrow afternoon and the three of us will then drive to Jamestown.  I think Travis and Cynthia are going up for the funeral and maybe John as well.
The visitation is Wednesday late afternoon and the funeral is Thursday at 10:30.   After the funeral there will be some of us driving to Bergen cemetery for the burial.  That will be a 150 mile drive.  From there we will come back to St. Paul.

My goodness we are to reach mid 90s today with the weather but then down to mid 80s Tuesday and then down to mid 60s by Wednesday!  At this time I have the AC units going strong but not after today.  I know, I am way way behind times with those darn window AC things but then I am almost older than dirt too so what!

Kind of a funny story behind this.  Dave made this for himself way back in the 70s I think.  He sent in a picture and story of his guitar to Popular Mechanic magazine and was given a "golden hammer" award for his work!  He later made one for his daughter Lisa and then made one for me as well.  You can't see it but around the entire edge of the guitar is a tiny band of wood.  He had to edge out all around the top to put that tiny edging of wood in.  He said he worked on that one thing for about a week or 30 hours or so. When he made his second guitar he decided to splurge and buy a router bit that would do the same work.  He paid $40 for the bit and on his second guitar he spent  10 minutes doing what he did in 30 hours on his!  If you ever met Dave you met an excellent craftsman for sure.

No there is much to do today.  I need to try and get some dust taken care of in this house or my sisters will think I am a total loser.  There is the car to get out of the garage, lawn to mow, bed to get made and the list goes on.  So FP is finished and time to get moving.
