TERRY
I do not have a lot to say about Terry today. I did talk to her yesterday afternoon. I intend to talk to someone at rehab this morning to try to get a better picture of where she is at in terms of rehab. It seems to me that rehab has been slow and I am concerned about rehab OR insurance saying we need to take a different approach. IF that were the case I certainly want to know WHAT, WHERE, WHEN etc. I just talked to Jeanne, she and Del are friends of ours, and she gave me some great suggestions as to what to say and how to say things. I do NOT want them to think I am looking for any kind of trouble but rather just wanting to know where things are at now.

The garden this morning. |

I know, a little weeding needs to be done. |

Terry always wanted basil but what does one do with it???
Travis and I decided that it is time to get serious about weight so we are in a contest. Over the next 100 days we will see who can do the best. It is based on losing % of one's body weight. During the 100 days there are intervals where rewards come into play. For example brother Dave's birthday would be 2 weeks from today so that is our first day of "who is doing the best". I think the winner gets a free breakfast. There are more intervals along the way until we get to the 100 day ending point. We will see who has the most endurance and discipline but I will say right now maybe neither of us is good at that.
I do have some things I will do today. I need to do some weeding in the garden. I need to go to Costco for a couple of things. I am currently watering the lawn. BUT of course the most important is calling the rehab center to try to get some answers. IF it comes down to it I may need to show them the "power of attorney" thing that gives me the right to see what is happening. I am NOT unhappy with what they are doing I just want to know everything that is going on with Terry as I feel that will help me prepare for what is ahead for us.
So here we are and I am guessing that sister Joan, sister Helen and myself are kind of ready for the new normal. It may seem strange to some people but not having Dave in the family, even though we did not live close to each other, is something that I will have to get used to.
Enough as the FP was good as usual and I skipped breakfast with this weight thing. Maybe that is NOT the way to go but I will try it a few days.
