It is going to be a good day

TERRY
I may blog after I get home today.  I talked to Terry once yesterday but it was short.  I plan to be at the rehab center from about 9-1 today.

I feel like a teenager going on their first date as I think about visiting Terry for the first time in the hospital/rehab in the last 74 days.  It reminds me of a couple of first dates in high school but we will not go there.  The social worker said I could meet Dr. Casper, some of the other staff, watch Terry do some therapy and have lunch with her.  I am excited.  I put the rehab address in the phone yesterday and when I plug it into CarPlay I will have the route.  I intend to leave a bit early to make sure I get there on time.  MORE THIS AFTERNOON.

I am changing my ways for NOW.  No more sausage, hash browns etc in the morning but some 1% milk and cereal.  It actually reminds me of days on the farm where Dave often ate cereal in a mixing bowl while I wanted eggs etc.  I do not know if this is good breakfast food but it has to have fewer calories than sausage, eggs and potatoes.   Yesterday after a late breakfast I treated myself to a late afternoon salad and that was it for the day.  I know that one is not suppose to weigh everyday when you are losing weight but I will be doing that.  My goal is not to lose a whole bunch of weight fast but rather either lose some everyday OR not gain any weight.  Actually if I am totally honest my goal is to beat Travis as I hate to lose!!!!(not true of course as I do not care if I beat Travis or not but yes I like to win)  This morning I stepped on the scale and I was down from yesterday.  A good start for sure.  I do not think I have ever purchased 1% milk and I am wondering if that means 1% milk and 99% of something else!  In these days one never knows anything for sure.

I planted a couple of rows in the garden this morning before I watered.  My carrots never did come up so I had a blank space.  I also have a space that is about 4 feet wide with nothing in and it is getting kind of late to do anything with that but.

The weather shows 90+ today through Thursday so we are in for some hot dry weather.  I turned the window AC on already to try and keep the house somewhat cool.  A single AC unit in the window does not do a whole lot if one waits until midday.  It would be so so nice to get one of those units that are mounted permanently in the wall but I think they are kind of expensive.  I think I will just try to have the window unit on all day rather than drain the bank account.

Not much else for now.  As I said I most likely will post again when I get home from seeing Terry.  I am excited.  I am in the middle of my FP yet so I need to do something until that is down to the last drop.  Oh, I almost forgot there are breakfast dishes to do!  AND I need to shave so I look as good as possible for Terry.
