Posted Liam's birthday post earlier today and the picture is when he was maybe 4 or so.  Now, at the age of 15, he is as good looking as ever.  He certainly has on a nice shirt.  Sorry but the shirt comment is an inside joke!

Well here we are with the virus growing quickly and becoming more serious each day.  I am waiting to see what good God makes of this.  There is NO doubt that it is making a huge difference in many families.  I am sure there are many cases where it is negative but also there are positive things coming out of it.  I read some place that stores are sold out of puzzles!  I would say in no uncertain terms that puzzles have been a fun thing in my life.  Growing up as well as my kids growing up.  I should put the 18,000 piece puzzle on e-bay and it may go for a lot of money.  We never did get it put together but I would say maybe 10% was done.  It is now in the box in the basement in St. Paul.  The problem with that puzzle is you need a huge space as if it ever gets put together it is something like 6X9 feet.  I do not remember for sure but know it is at least that large.

I did not get out and about yesterday and may not today as well.  I can NOT use an excuse that we need food as our freezer is full.  I will get out on a bike ride later this morning.  It is fun to see all the people out and about.  When I say"see" I mean it is fun to see people getting out of the house and getting some exercise in.  When I go on a bike ride I usually see one or two people I know.

I read a funny comment on Facebook yesterday.  Mary and Mark Saunder youngest son Luke and his wife are teachers.  It sounds like they are doing the streaming thing to students but one of them was doing a bit of school with their youngest who is maybe 4 or so.  The question was what is 1 plus 1.  The answer, and it was correct, was 11!  Pretty cute I would say.

With all the talk of students at home and being taught  by streaming etc. it brought to mind the teachers in my family.  Ronald was a science teacher.  Glorine was a  home economics teacher,  John an industrial arts teacher (for a time), Dave a science and myself in special ed.  I know Janet got her 2 year degree but I do not think she ever taught.  Gail had her teaching degree but did not teach.  I would say our family did our share to educate our young people.  I am wondering how or if our deaf kids are learning at home?  It seems to me that would be a difficult thing to do but maybe not impossible.
I should add that Marlys/Dave's oldest daughter Lisa has a birthday today.  I will not say how old she is but she is the same age as my John.

Enough for today.  It may be a good idea to get out on the bike before afternoon.  I was lazy today as i had a frozen breakfast sandwich with my FP. (of course I thawed it out!)  Those sandwiches are good but they are tough and it seems that they should be able to make them so they are not like that.
