Here we are in the second Sunday of August

There is nothing new about Terry.  As I write she has the TV on and is reading the paper.  She does have an appointment with her neurologist this Wednesday but we are not expecting anything new.  I think he will refer to her memory tests that we have the results for and they are pretty easy to understand.  I do have concerns about her having these coughing spells which occur often but not sure we will get any answers about that.  So that is it for today about Terry

Well I do have much work behind me now that the 2022 calendar is finished and actually many are in the mail already.  The rest will go out tomorrow so I am having or making Christmas in August!  It will be nice to get them out and then I will be finished with them.  I suppose I could start to think about 2023 but that does seem FAR OUT.

I have put in some work today already.  After doing church on TV I have cleaned up the kitchen.  Usually I try to do that in the evening but not sure where my energy was last night as I left the kitchen a mess.  I do think we are getting meals this week so I can throw my shopping list away.  We have not gotten them for two weeks so it will be kind of a nice change to have them again.  I may, on Tuesday, cancel them for next week again but will decide when they come tomorrow.

We are looking at a bit of a cool down in the weather IF one wants to call it that!  In the next ten days the highest is 91 and most are 90 or 89.  I know that does not sound very cool but it is a change from 93/94 and also the weather shows chance of rain to vary from 40%-60% so that means the humidity will be high as usual.

I do have tennis scheduled more this week.  Tomorrow it will be with the better players and then Tuesday with the ones I play with most of the time.  It is really fun to play UP as it is more of a challenge but then perhaps more of a DOWNER at times as well.  But how can one get better if you do NOT play up???

Terry and I visited Acadia NP in 2015 I believe.  At that time there was no traffic up Cadillac Mountain but it looks like it has changed.  Once one gets to the top the view is great.  AND it is not really that high as the mountains there are nothing like the Rocky etc.

I think the games finish today and that will make TV less interesting.  

We had a sharpening stone just like this on the farm.  It was used to sharpen pocket knives, throwing knives etc.  With my throwing knife sharp after using this I could stand back about 15 feet from a board and stick it every time.  Well you know that there were times on the farm when idle times led to new adventures!!!  

I finished ALL my work on the calendars so the rest will go out tomorrow and that is pretty much it.  I am starting to think about 2023 but it may be a bit early for that!

That is about it for today.  I finished my FP some time ago so it is on with the rest of the day.
