Here we are at midweek and heading towards the weekend.

 TERRY

As I sit at my computer at 7:25 the window is steamy, the morning air is heavy and Terry is now sleeping.  She had a coughing spell about 20 minutes ago but that seems to have passed.  She sees Dr. Vickers today but I am not expecting anything new.  I am concerned about her coughing spells which happen often during the day.  Maybe he can give us some insight as to who she should see.  Her appointment is late and she wasn't all that excited when I told her it was at 4:30.  Well to be honest Dr. Vickers has kind of worn off and she doesn't enjoy seeing him that much.  For my part I think he is an excellent neurologist but I am not sure that is what she needs at this point.  Well he is going to talk about her memory test so that may be good.  We will see.

I get the WSJ and every Wednesday they have an article about a car, motorcycle etc.  I would often send it to Dave.  One time I sent an article about an Indian cycle and he said it was the very same kind that he had at one time.  Any today there was a long article about a guy who has a 1974 Alfa Romeo.  The title includes the words "a labor of love".  In the story it says that it has never broken down on the road but pretty much every part has been replaced at some time.  What the guy loves about it is it is the "old" kind of car without computers, without AC, without power steering and on and on.  As I read it I thought about Dave and his Bronco which I think may have been from the 70s.  The last time we were together he drove it out to Bert's place so we could shoot.  Well let me say I think Dave loved that vehicle BUT it rattled, bounced up and down and much more!!!  It even had 4 wheel drive I believe.  It was one of many different vehicles Dave had but I do believe it was the most interesting.  The article was a fun read and the memories were even better.

Well here we are no tennis today, yesterday nothing and I do believe it may be Saturday before I play again.  Too few people here in the summer and several are now gone for a while or hurt.  I may have to just go out and hit the ball some.

Here I am with both racquets restrung and new grips and then nobody to play with.  I thought the new string job would bring up game UP to a new level and I would surprise everybody!!!  Well old men can dream but often the dreams are not reality!!!

Got a message from sister Helen and her calendar arrived.  She said it was the best one yet which confirmed my opinion.  I think I have too much time on my hands as I already am starting to think of ideas for 2023 and that is a long way off.  I mean I am 74 and by the time 2023 comes I may be--I am not going there.

Based on that last paragraph I should say most of it is just kind of a joke but I admit I am wearing down to some degree.  I woke up this morning at about 6:30 and as I walked into the kitchen I was stunned as it is a big time mess.  I then remembered that I did make some food for Terry yesterday and did nothing to clean up the kitchen.  I mean it is a mess as when I cook it seems I need to use every pot, pan and tool in the kitchen.  So after I finish this it is clean up time but I need to be careful as I do not want to wake Terry up.

With no tennis today I am going to try to get some of those darn papers cleaned up.  I am wondering if papers like living things can multiply just by being???

I think I am about finished for the day.  I still have some FP left so will sip on that as I check Facebook for a time.
