TERRY
Terry slept until almost 9:00 this morning. As I write she is reading the paper as usual. As she turned on the TV this morning the Three Stooges were on. That is NOT her favorite show but I kind of like them! So today is another day with no plans except to be home. Terry is on her second day of the new meds so we will see if there is any reaction as the Dr. said we should be sure to notice anything new. So far so good.
I am thinking I may go out for a bike ride this morning as no tennis means no exercise and I do need that. IF I do it will be soon as the weather shows 91 later on.
I watched some of the baseball game last night in Dyerville, IA. It brought me back to the farm and my baseball playing days in Little League in Cayuga.
- Making my ball field in the barnyard where I neatly leveled the ground by the south side of the barn. Well I was by myself so it was throw the rubberize ball against the barn wall and then pretend the rest.
- I played little league ball for two years in Cayuga. Ray Murray was our coach. I made sure I played each game with the same shirt. It was a white pullover with a broad red stripe across the chest. I played either pitcher or first base. We only played against Rutland and Forman but probably played each of them twice. The highlights of my career were Jack G and I combined on a no hitter against Rutland one time and I hit a winning homer to right field against Forman one time. AND of course there were no baseball spikes so the shoe of the day was the hightop Converse which was the same for basketball! Of course we had No homer fence so the ball had to be hit FAR😀. My baseball career came to a halt when our high school dropped it after my freshman year. I think we got in maybe 2 games my freshman year as the weather was bad.
- Dave and I would play ball often against the corn crib as well.
