NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

I enjoy writing.  I wrote a book and that was a lot of work but it was also enjoyable.  Some times I write just to write and sometimes my mood or my spirit leads me down the writing path.  I wrote the following for my love Terry.  The title is taken from a writing that was written many years ago in relation to the boys HS soccer defeat.  It may not make any sense to anyone but to me but here it is:

NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

I LIE IN PAIN
THE NIGHT WAS LONG
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

I WONDERED
CAN I DO THIS NOW
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

I FELT SO ALONE
JUST ME AND I
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

WHY GOD
AM I SO ALONE
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

O REACHED OUT
TO NOT BE ALONE
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY FAMILY
SO FAR AWAY
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY LOVER
I MISS SO MUCH
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY DREAMS
DASHED SO NO MORE
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY HEART
IT SEEMED BROKEN
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY MIND
IT SEEMED JUST BLANK
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY DESIRES
THEY WERE NO MORE
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY FRIENDS
SO FAR AWAY
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY TREASURES
THEY WERE NO MORE
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

MY CHILDREN
HAVE THEY FORGOTTEN
IN GOD'S MERCY
NEXT DAY THE SUN CAME UP

SO GOD
I GIVE YOU ME
IN YOUR MERCY
THE SUN WILL COME UP

MANY THANKS
DEAR GOD
I AM ALIVE AND WELL
WHEN THE SUN COMES UP
