Day 32, "Every picture has a story"
These Tonka toys cost me a lot of money! John has the loader but they both had dump trucks. They would run up and down the sidewalk with the truck backwards so the box would not tip. When they wanted to stop they just slide their toe on the sidewalk. One can imagine how many pairs of shoes they wore out doing that. I was glad when winter came as that was easier on the shoes. I currently have one of the trucks sitting in my wood shop. I would say 100s of hours were spent with those toys on the sidewalk, in the sand pile and in the house. The one in my shop does not look so shiny now!!!
We will hit the road in a bit and drive to ND where we plan to bring home some barn wood. There are several ideas for its use including the bathroom door on the second floor. As I write there is no rain but the forecast shows rain will happen while we drive. The temp is somewhat cooler and for me that is good. Just so it does not get too cool as Terry's body is ALWA YS cooler than mine.
I now have a new goal in mind for my weight. I want to meet it by the end of July. We will see IF I can control myself and eat when my body needs it, not just because the food tastes so good. I am thinking I have a bit more self control as I age. I am not sure they are connected but it is possible.
We are taking our lunch with us and in the salad is our very first big tomato along with some cucumbers from the garden. Can't claim any credit for the turkey or other veggies. Well we paid for them so maybe there is some room for credit. I could add we used a credit card!
Terry and I did some shopping yesterday and my energy level was low so there was NO progress on the fans but in a short time they will be up, I promise.
My FP is lucky today, it gets to go on the road.
