Day 16, "Every picture has a story"
Last Saturday Terry and I met Glori and Val for lunch in Fargo. They both live in Grafton ND. They were a grade ahead of us in HS. Of course I knew them but really they were friends of Terry's as they all lived in Forman. My memories of the two are this. Val's dad was my football coach and perhaps my favorite teacher ever. I thought he retired after my junior year but I found out he moved to another school. Glori dated a friend, John, and it seemed they were always together. As you can see she is not tall and John was not either. At the Forman theater if I and my date were sitting near the back in a double seat 😇 John and Gloria would be very near the front and one could hardly see them. Anyway the memories freely flowed as we ate lunch. I am happy that I am old enough and able to have those kind of visits. We met at a microbrewery so of course, being a man and a native ND guy, I needed a North Dakota brewery Stanley growler!!!We had a glorious rain yesterday. In all it was about 1.2" and it came down so nicely that ALL soaked into the lawn. No more watering for a while.
We felt we may have a gas leak yesterday so we called Xcel and they came. There was no gas leak BUT the guy did find two couplings that had a small leak. That was not gas that we smelled as there was nothing in the air. The short story is we HAVE to get those fixed and the gas had to be turned off until they are fixed. So I need to take care of that soon, very soon as our stove, dryer and hot water are all gas. Maybe no dishes to wash today.
There is a new grandchild in the Lee family. I do not know who Cynthia and Mike have told so no picture as of yet and as of yesterday there was no name. BUT it means the boys now #7 and the girls #6. I would say they are even!!!
Enough for today so it is rinse the FP cup and get some work done.
