Day 35, "Every picture has a story"
Mary, Audrey and Elspeth flew into the Twin Cities yesterday and joined John, Henry and Liam at our place. Guess who got the most attention! Well the picture tells the story. Suka (sp?), as you can see, got the most attention. The family got the dog about a year ago and the rest is history. Suka is a VERY nice dog and of course get MUCH attention. She is some kind of husky and for sure is a special dog. She accompanied them to Spokane on their trip to spend time with Tonta, Mary's Aunt.
John and family have been here since yesterday and plan to head home to South Bend tomorrow. This afternoon they are spending time with Cynthia and family as they had to see new cousin, John Paul. They will be back here about 5 or so for a meal of sweet corn, pork chops and salad that Terry made. Those kids are pretty special and easy to have around but I would say Grandpa is NOT used to having kids around. Fun, for sure.
I continue to get some things out of the house. I would say not enough but every little bit helps. I think John has enough room for the chain saw and some sheets etc. went to Cynthia's this morning. I know there is MUCH more that could/should go but for now it is fine.
Tomorrow is "D" day in terms of those ceiling fans. It is make or break it time. I will attempt to install the south one if I can get the electric correct. IF not it will be time to call for help and drain the bank!!! I think Paul is coming over tomorrow and maybe start or get the walls painted. John said he thinks the 2nd floor is looking good so I am pleased. With the barn wood from the Saunders farm the door will be created. Will get to that soon.
Terry made some great potato salad for dinner yesterday and today her salad is a great one so in terms of food we are good to EAT.
Another 4**** day in terms of weather. Sunny, little wind and a high of 81. Doesn't get much better than that.
I know John/Mary's boys are growing up. Last night they wanted a shower and this morning they were NOT up at 6:00 but rather dragged themselves out of bed around 7:45. Do you think they may be teenagers?
The Lees may be back at any time so will sign off. By the way I, John and Mary went through 3 pots of FP this morning!
