Good-bye July 2018

Day 46, "Every picture has a story"
All the temporary treads are in.

Don't know if I will replace the landing BUT the floor looks interesting!
Two pictures again today.  Here are the temporary stairs that are now in place.  As I rolled, kind of fell, out of bed this morning I could feel EVERY pull/push/yank from my stair work yesterday.  My arms are sore, my legs are cramping and my back is telling me I worked yesterday.  This is not a complaint but rather admitting that seldom do I do much physical work.  Of course it could be telling me that this body which is 71 and counting would rather ride bike and not pull and push so much.  The maple treads arrived in St. Paul yesterday and will be delivered today.  Terry finished painting the clear pine risers so it looks like things should be a go today.  There will be a slight delay because after the fact, industrial arts teacher John would have known this, I realized that the bottom step is wider than the rest.  Taking the old treads off showed me that but it was AFTER I ordered treads so I had to make  another order for 1 that is an inch longer. It is hard to swallow when the freight for ONE tread is 16% of the freight for 16!

My two pictures pretty much tell the story of the day.  I think it is time for that FP, some homemade hash browns, a couple of eggs and some bacon.  Doesn't sound like a good way to start a day where I would like to lose weight BUT then it sure sounds yummy and maybe, just maybe that will rejuvenate those aching muscles.
