A busy day

TERRY

Terry has a busy busy day ahead of her.  Phillip is coming for PT at 11:00 and then she has a Dr. appt at 1:00 and another at 3:30.  I am sure she will be exhausted at the end of the day.  I am hoping she does well in PT as Phillip said he would have her stand with the walker and move forward.  He will have his hand on her and I will be right behind her with the wheelchair so there is no danger of her falling but I know Terry will be somewhat fearful of the exercise.  Phillip said he is sure she can do it so we will see.  I am also concerned about her Dr. appt as they are 2 1/2 hr apart.  Dr. Vickers is often late so I did not dare make them closer in time.  I guess we will just have to wait and see how things go.  I feel Terry is eating a little more but that may be because Kim is here and she makes great food!  She needs to eat more so we can get rid of that feeding tube but actually she is comfortable with that in.

I do have another 30 minute session on the tennis court today with Phil and Myke.  I think this may be the last of the sessions as they are not cheap.  After today I need to get onto the court in matches with other guys.  Well it would be good to just hit cross court with one of the guys.  In the heat and humidity a person has to be careful to ease into the game.  Oh, I could stand to lose a few pounds and that would help.

Our fridge is kind of full of good food as Kim has been making meals over the last several days and there is always food left.  I am not sure when she leaves but I am guessing we will be eating good food for some time.

We will try out the platform that I built to get Terry into the car.  She just needs to be higher than the street in order to get onto the seat.  I am thinking Terry will look at it and may not want to use it!  I promise I will be extra careful and it will be fine BUT we will see if Terry is comfortable with it.  I just did not want to make it any larger than I needed as it would get too heavy.

Vida just arrived 10 minutes early as she said she needs to leave 10 minutes early.  Just in time to change Terry, lucky me!!!

This was Mom and Dad's 50th which means it was taken in 1985.  I am guessing it was maybe the only time we had Helen/Mike, Glorine/Charlie, Judi/John, Marlys/Dave, Gail/Carmen and Joan/Ron all together.  Now, 35 years later things are very different but then what would one expect in the span of 35 years.  Helen and Joan--was this really their 50th?  Cynthia is in the picture so I know it was mid 80s or so but I thought we were at the lake for their 50th!

Vida now has Terry on a walk and Terry mentioned that the house is looking kind of messy which is true!  I will try to do some work while they are on their walk.

FP is gone and I need to do some clean up.
