Day 137, "Every picture has a story"(as an adult Aaron's woodworking skills are on a HIGH level )
Now days when parents talk about sports, school or what ever they usually use the phrase "start them young"! Well Aaron is a Very accomplished wood worker and I guess he started young! Here he is in the garage in Devils Lake. He looks like he is pretty serious about his project. Well he went from that stage to a stage well beyond where my skills are. Oh my he has made very wonderful things from wood. I suspect his Dad did not really school him very well in the "right tool"! However I suspect that his Dad felt that was the least dangerous tool for him. Did he get the wood cut? I don't know but an educated guess would be NO. I think this is the summer of 76 or 77. Also, not sure where he got that hat!
For a retired guy this is going to be kind of a busy weekš. As everyone knows it is good to keep busy. I will not play Tuesday on the 70+ team as the captain tries to get everyone in which means you kind of play every other week. However of the 7 weeks I have played 5. My team plays at home on Wednesday. I have some of the lower tier players that I need to get in to play. No sense in having a player on the team and then never giving him a chance to play.
The wife of Rich, who has dementia, send out a nice note yesterday. She thanks guys for giving Rich a chance to play as he loves his tennis yet. She said there are things he can not do but he still hangs on to tennis and does well. I will play in a foursome this afternoon and Rich will be one of the guys. I would say March is the busiest month of the winter so am guessing I will get off of morning play at least once a week.
There are some appointments that we have which will also take time this week so kind of busy IF that is really in my life now.
Had breakfast and am finished with the FP so will settle down on the couch and read some more of my book.
Sounds like you're feeling better, good. I'm sure the potato salad would have helped but I'll enjoy it for you! Snow yesterday morning, not much but enough to stay in for the day. Temp this morning is 7! Yikes, gonna stay in again today. Didn't open the Pro Shop since no golf and just isn't worth paying employees when there's very little business. Hopefully once this cold spell goes through spring won't be far behind. Guess I'll work on taxes today and hopefully tomorrow will be warmer and I'll get out. Take care and enjoy tennis. Love, Helen
