Day 54, "Every picture has a story"
While in Alaska in 2014 Terry and I were 2 days away from heading towards CA on the Alaskan Marine Highway. We had one more NP to visit and that was Glacier Bay, a flight away from our camp site in Haines. The fog rolled in and commercial flights were canceled so what to do? We called a bush pilot and he agreed to fly us to the park and back. The flight was one in a life time. We saw glaciers like this one and much much more. On the way back he asked us if we wanted the fastest route or the scenic route and we took the scenic. WOW!!! He would fly over a sight and then say we can get a better picture if we see it from another angle so he would turn and come at it from a different direction. As we landed he said, "You have now experienced our backyard here in Alaska!" I think the flight was $600 and worth every penny and perhaps more.
Well the house projects keep at the forefront. Yesterday I put the first coat of enamel paint on the stair skirt and Terry and I went into "fix it mode" with the living room paint. Still we have not found what Terry considers the right color. I am NOT a color guy so what do I know but Terry insists the paint we have has a blue tint and we want a soft gray. Maybe more to the story today!!!
I have our garbage container full of old wood etc. I think we will get our moneys worth out of our garbage collection this summer. I have decided that there is no use in stock piling old wood that comes out of the house or wherever. I say that and then we made a trip to ND to get old barn wood!!!
Terry graduated from her PT sessions yesterday. No cap and gown, no cake, no high fives, just the end of what PT was supposed to do. We are hoping and expecting that the issues related to her feet are history for now. Still not able to walk a long distance but each day maybe a bit better.
FP is almost gone so it is time to work.
