TERRY
Terry is up this afternoon and watching TV. She wanted to walk today so we put a belt around her and she walked from the bedroom to the living room. After about a half hour she wanted to return but after getting to her feet she decided she needed the wheelchair to get back so as I write she is in the bedroom again. THE wedding is a little more than 4 months out BUT I am concerned about somethings. It would be normal for us to drive to her daughters in GA and stay over night. Then it would be about 2 hours drive to the wedding BUT to stay with her daughter will be a challenge to put it mildly. To get into the first floor of their home is many steps and then with high ceilings there are many more steps up to the second floor bedroom. SO I have NO idea what we may have to do. I think it would be too difficult to drive to the wedding place in one day as it is maybe 750 miles or so. Well we have some time to figure it out so will not worry about it now.
Terry has a cold and is miserable to put it mildly. I am kind of getting over a cold. I just have not felt all that well today. I took a short nap and that did not seem to help. I say that but I actually had a good tennis game this morning!!!
For those who read this and there are a few. Terry is continuing to do OK. She is pretty much in bed 24/7 but this morning she wanted to try and walk some. With both hands on the walker and me holding on to a belt around her waist she made it from the bedroom to the living room which is about 30 feet. She sat down on the couch for some time. About 30 minutes later she decided she wanted to go back. As she stood up she decided she needed the wheelchair to get back to the bedroom. BUT I would say that was progress. Will see what she wants to do tomorrow.
We are having some cool temps for Naples. I think it is a high of 75 today with a 50% chance of rain.
As I look at the weather in St. Paul it reminds me of many times during my teaching that we had a field trip and stood waiting for the bus at a shelter with the temps in the zero range. One year we finished the last day of school before Christmas Vacation with a party at our house. I remember the temp being -15 as we arrived at our place. Several parents had volunteered to drive kids so there was NO walking. Now, 15 years after retiring I do not think much about my teaching days BUT when I do I try to only think about the GOOD times and I promise not all were good times but mostly were good!!!
Enough for today as it is now almost 4:30. As I finish writing Terry is watching the channel on TV that has old old shows like Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel etc etc. Yes, I had my FP many hours ago.
