TERRY
I would say Terry is about the same this morning. As I write she is reading the paper and has been awake for about an hour. I think, starting tomorrow, we need to set up some kind of schedule as she NEEDS to get out of bed and be around the house. Of course that means sitting up, getting into the wheel chair and getting out of the bedroom. For most of us that sounds like a piece of cake but for someone who is unable to stand alone it is a task. We will see how things go BUT we will give it our best effort and take it one day at a time!
Well this will be the last day of family here. Cynthia's family will be in and out today she said and then it is time to head home for them tomorrow. Their flight leaves shortly after 6:00 but of course they have this new van and I am guessing some of the kids will ride with Mike. So some will arrive in the cold north tomorrow and some will probably be arriving home late Thursday or Friday. I think Mike scheduled some work to be done on the van at 8:30 this morning. I think when Cynthia arrives in MN Wednesday it is supposed to be a high of 24 so it will be VERY different than the high of 78 in Naples!!!
I had more enjoyment reading the WSJ this morning with my Christmas cup from the South Bend Lees by my side. Somehow it makes the FP even better and I know most people thought that impossible!
I relented this morning and agreed to share my "backyard fresh eggs" with Terry. I put some cheese and onion in them and she said they were delicious. That Liam may be a REAL farmer some day!
I enjoyed getting my Chinese Checker board out that I had made for each of the kids a few years ago. Faustina and I played and she learned the rules. Later she played Dad and I did not ask who won!
I will see the Adkins off and on today but starting tomorrow it will be just Terry and I again. It will seem kind of quiet as when those kiddos arrive quiet goes out the window, which is good!
Not much else to write about today. I think ALL the New Year fun is now in the rear view mirror so to speak. I do have tennis at 10:30 today so I guess we may be on the road to "normal" life again.
What is one to do when the recycle is FULL on Tuesday and it comes on Friday!!!
The wreaths are off the front of the garage but will not be put in the attic until I drive the car out so I can get the ladder down.
AND lastly the cards will be taken down and put away. Maybe to never be looked at again but then maybe they will be looked at down the road to bring back good memories.
So I bring the blog to an end for the day. It is now after 9:00 and time to clean up the kitchen, pick up some things, take the fence down for the pool and just in general put things in order again as I turn down the thermostat of Christmas/company and turn it up to normal life again. Perhaps during January I may recall some Christmas times of the past but not today. My FP is gone so I am finished for the day.
