WELL

Day 113, "Every picture has a story"

Terry and I have had so so much fun over the last several years as we pulled our camper from as far north as Coldfoot Alaska, as far west as Vertura California, as far southeast as Key West and as far northeast as Bar Harbor Maine.  The picture of our camper is on the shore of Lake Erie as we camped before visiting friends in Toronto Canada.  The 2 signs are from a camp grounds in the southeast, perhaps in Alabama but not sure.  The signs have nothing to do with what your values are or how you look at political issues, they are just funny.  Over the last 2 years the camper has been sad as it has gotten out very little BUT maybe there is more in the future.  Some of our funniest stories have come from camp grounds in New York state and in Arizona  but the stories are many.

Ok so we won NO courts yesterday.  However as I looked at our match and then compared it to how we played against them last year I could see a lot of improvement.  So all was not lost, well I guess ALL was lost but as a team I would not hang my head.  I actually lost on court 3 and all I will say is when you win you win as a team and when you lose you lose as a team!!!  I will admit I was DOWN for a while after the match but of course I am fine.  I have to tell myself each day that IF one is on the court and able to play without injury it is a good day.  At the age of 72 I am happy to wake up in the morning, get dressed, get on the court and have fun with friends.  Oh so many family and friends have not been so blessed.  One of the reasons it was such a downer is the day before, on a different team, it was so much fun but today is a new day and all is well.

I played from 7:30 to 10:30 this morning.  I do not like to play twice in a morning BUT the 9:00 was a chance to play with some better players so I took it.  My partner and I got down 0-5, came back to tie at 6-6 but lost 6-8.  A fun time.

I finished a second book yesterday.  I will start a third one today.  Again, those books are not the kind that one has to sit and contemplate life.  Just read and enjoy.  Maybe I need to get a "thinking" book next time around.

Yesterday was Grandma Saunder's 98 birthday.  Oh my so much has happened over the last year or so.  She just keeps hanging in there.

Enough for today.  I finished the FP before tennis so all is well.
