Day 102, "one last picture of the day"
I have probably used this picture before but one last time. For 35+ years it looked like this:
Except the steps, for most of the time, were covered with indoor outdoor carpet with a rubber back which was mostly dust when we took it off. I post these pictures because of all the projects we undertook over the last many years this is probably the most notable and maybe the most fun to see completed. Of course it can not compare to the upstairs bathroom but that was huge in terms of time and money.
As we leave I could list several things that did not get done BUT I am sure they will wait until next season!!! We plan to head out about 10:00 today and arrive in Madison mid afternoon. After 2 nights there we will spent 2 in South Bend and then 1 or 2 in PeachTree City GA before landing in Naples on Saturday or Sunday. A friend, Terry D., has scheduled me in for tennis matches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week as one can send in requests up to 10 days in advance. I am guessing that the first couple of weeks playing I will be RUSTY like never before but maybe, just maybe, things will get better with time.
Enough for now, as there is about an hour of getting things in place before Travis comes over and we say good-bye. It is with much satisfaction that we leave with so much done this season. I am hopeful that next summer as much will get done. I have already started a list but at this time it is short.
I am drinking my FP out of my "Grandpa" cup this morning as my "camping" cup is safely resting on the basement room shelf waiting for my return next spring. Bottoms up and here we go!!! As we leave the MN 46 degree temps we are already thinking 90 degrees in Naples. Long pants to shorts for sure!
