Day 5, "Every picture has a story"
A week ago Tuesday I walked with Ruby to her bus stop. We arrived early and there were 3 of her friends. They insisted on playing tag as they waited for the bus. I said I would just watch but Ruby said Grandpa has to play! The guy in the colored shirt said, "Mr. Grandpa is NOT playing!" Well I could not resist so join I did. They cheated as they ran onto the lawns of the houses and I refused to do that😇. In the 10 minute time frame it was a workout!!! A FUN time for Grandpa! I am guessing Ruby has about a quarter mile walk to the bus stop. As we started from her house on our walk I could hardly keep up. Oh my she walked fast. When I asked her why she walked so fast she said she walks with her mom. I will never get into a walking contest with Amy.
Big time thunder and lighting last night as well as rain. My 7:30 tennis was rained out but I think people will be able to play as early as 9:00. Those clay courts dry fast. It will not hurt me to sit out a day after playing for 3 strait days.
Not much new today. A bit more of unpacking and that may be it. Perhaps I will wander over to the courts later to practice my serve. They say practice makes perfect but I wonder! It is already past 9:00 so the FP has been history for a few hours.
On to a new day and new adventures.
