TERRY
There is no news about Terry. Again, as is normal, she is reading the paper as I write. It seemed that she had a good night sleep. Again, as yesterday, I will ask her IF she wants to get her first cover shot today. Yesterday she said not today.
It is a Saturday and I have nothing in mind to do. I got a call yesterday asking if I wanted to play tennis today and as I have said over the last many weeks, no. I did have an after thought and considered calling back and saying yes but decided to not do that. So no tennis until Tuesday. I know, my game is NOT going to improve by playing twice a week BUT.
I actually am going to do something today that could be labeled work. The AC unit in the house was under warranty for several years and in order to keep that up one needed to have it checked twice a year. The warranty is now out so we have not had it checked for over a year. It came to mind yesterday that I have not changed the filter as that was always done by the people who checked it. So it will be ladder time today. Oh my gosh, it may take me 15 minutes of work time!!!
It is kind of a cooler day today. As I write it is 82 and the high is supposed to be only 88. It also looks like today will be the second day in a row with no rain. I think that is kind of unusual.
It looks like the hurricane season is upon us and we could be getting the effect hurricane Elsa could as early as Monday. As of now it looks like some wind and rain but really no storm. I guess it is a matter of wait and see. We have never been here in the summer so it could be interesting. I have tried to think of what I might need to get just in case we have power shortages etc. Not sure what it would be. IF I had thought when I drove the car down here I would have put our small generator in the car. We used it a lot when we were camping. At the very least with that would could keep the fridge and freezer cold. Hopefully we will not need it. BUT there may be a trip to Costco for some food.
For reasons unknown I have been thinking a lot about siblings who have died and Mom and Dad as well. I surely miss my calls to Dave as we usually talked once or twice a month. I don't miss our pool games so much!!! Dave had this weekly pool session with several others. I think twice when we visited we were there on the day they played. I could hold my own in table tennis, in golf and tennis BUT for me pool was a lost cause. Maybe because I never played it!
Sister Helen sure missed her chance as she sold her Miata recently. Here is a place that takes those cars, starting with 1990s and makes them more interesting! Helen got hers for her 50th birthday so I think she would have qualified.
