We had a fun time with friends Connie and Darrel yesterday. I think they may be the most fun loving couple we know. Darrel, at the age of 76, was encouraged (told) by their 2 sons that IF he wanted to continue to ride Dad had to get a 3 wheeler. He found this HD cycle that was a year old and had 800 miles on it. Darrel has an issue with his eyes so not sure how long he can ride but they do now and seem to have a lot lot of fun. We had a super lunch as Terry made popovers, angel food cake with fruit on and potato salad and I pitched in with slow grilled baby back ribs. MAYBE we ate too much but what the heck, who cares?
Most of yesterday was spent getting ready for company, having company and cleaning up after company so NO work but I did get in a 7 1/2 mile ride. At the end I made a decision to go up to St. Kates which has a steep hill just to give my leg some work.
I almost forgot but Terry did have a PT session late afternoon so we did accomplish something.
No big plans for the day. Maybe I should start on those major summer projects, maybe not today!!!
I think the lawn actually should be mowed and I think I need to put the mower up one notch. I always lower it for the last cutting of the fall and I did not raise it again this spring.
I have given in to the "NUMBERS" when I ride bike. I like to coast to a stop and swing my leg over the bike as I get off. NOW I have decided it is best to stop, lean the bike to the side and then swing my leg over. I will not say why but one could guess! I do need to pump the tires a bit before I get on this morning. Bentley has performed flawlessly so far in fact IF I kept track of how often I pedal and how often I just coast it may be 50/50. I know, not good for the exercise that I need but it sure is fun.
Time to get out of the leisure wear, into some clothes and get going for the day after the FP is finished!
