TERRY
I would say Terry is doing fine today. She has some pain in her right foot but overall she is doing OK. So it is one day at a time as usual.
Dad died on this day 25 years ago. I can not think of a better picture to post of Dad than this. It kind of sums up who he was and what his interests were. A gun and some game and he was ready to party so to speak. Dad was in a highraise in Fargo that was for people who were nearing the end of life. More than once I received a call at night asking if I could come get him out as the doors were always locked. When he first moved into his tiny apartment it was a good thing as there were people there that he knew and he was happy but as time went on and his health declined it was difficult. I think back to Mom's last day as she feel asleep in her favorite chair and did not wake up. IF we had choices I think Mom won! I need not get into the ups and downs of Dad. I will say that he was exceptionally talented and could pretty much do anything. I will leave it at that but will end by saying he and Mom provided a home where love was always there.
Not a whole lot to say today. Here in south Florida we have a beautiful day with sunny skies and warm temps. I was not scheduled in for tennis today so it will be three days of none play as I hardly ever play on the weekends. That is fine for now.
Terry had a restful night even though she did need some attention at 2:30 AM! She has eaten this morning some of the pot pie I made yesterday and said it was very good. She leaves the crust off as she does not like that. I need to think of something she may like later on.
I am tracking some papers Travis sent and it finally looks like they will come today. There are a couple of tax papers I need to continue to get them ready. I am not sure I have all I need but will work on them after the papers come today.
I will not comment on the Ukranian war but it does not sound good and I can not make sense of what Russia is trying to do. I read in the WSJ how several countries are dealing with it. It sounds like several Russia rich people have had their TOYS taken by countries. In one situation the yacht was valued at 500 M!!! It will be very interesting and maybe even very dangerous as time goes one.
That darn weight is not going any place, up or down. Well I guess I can be happy it is not going UP but really it does need to go down so maybe I need to redouble my effort to behave myself in terms of eating.
I do not know IF I posted this picture a few days ago or not but will post it now. As one can see it was taken a few years ago. I am guessing it was Mom and Dad's 40th and IF that is true it was in 1975. I would say that Helen, Joan and I have changed a bit!!! Dave as we know is not with us anymore. What the heck Helen kind of looks like a very young chick!!! If it was indeed 75 Helen would have been 25.
Well I think that is it for today. It is now 10 AM and maybe, just maybe, time to get some things done. The FP is long gone so work is waiting so to speak.
