Terry
Terry is doing a bit more walking as I think it is day 6 or 7 of NOT using the walker at all. She pretty much can stand up at her walker and take off. Yes, it is not a rabbit pace but more a turtle pace that she walks at but "for sure" it is progress AND I am thinking she will continue to get better. As usual she is lying in bed with the paper as I blog.
Nothing on the schedule except 10:30 tennis for me. I will make a run to the grocery store later. Karl, who usually sets up our two court play on Mondays, is out of town so Rich and I put the pairings together. It is always a fun Monday as there are several players who are as good or better than I (I know that is not saying a whole lot) so that makes it fun. For the 90 minutes of play we switch out partners at the 45 minute mark so we get to play with different players.
Terry and I had a low key Easter Sunday. I spent much of the time in the kitchen as I wanted us to enjoy a nice meal.
Standing rib roast was the main!
Garlic mashed potatoes topped with tomatoes, cheese and bread crumbs complimented the meat.
Of course you need a veggie so asparagus wrapped in bacon was also a side.
One can ask WHY would Carmen post pictures of the food??? Well there is a reason. I THINK I did an OK job of making the meal but for sure the pictures make it look REALLY good so felt the pictures would kind of make up for my lack of cooking skills!!! Really it was a good meal but not up to what the picture look like! Terry said the meat was over the top good but she did not comment so much on the rest!
From the book
"Perry and Sylvia have two daughters. Like their parents, they were raised to work. They had to work Perry agrees. When they pulled crap, we never monkeyed around with, Well, you're grounded. Well, yeah, Sylvia adds. because if you ground'em they're miserable, and you're miserable. So make'em work it off. If Perry's shop would need sweeping, he'd say, Yeah, the shop needs sweeping. One of'em will screw up pretty soon. Sure, enough they did. They'd have to clean Perry's shop. Sylvia laughs..Perry adds. They worked off their indiscretions."
Kind of reminded me of the time Dad was going to town and I wanted to go along with him. I started to cry and Dad said, "If you going to cry we'll go behind the house and I will give you something to cry about". I stopped!!!
That is about it for today. For anybody who reads this may this Easter Season be exciting, spiritual and fun. As I end my writing I will take one last sip of FP.
