TERRY
Terry and I talked some yesterday about how to get her on her feet again. We will talk more today but really it should just be a matter of working at home with exercise and using the walker to start out. In the pool--not sure but I am game for it. Right now the pool is in need of repair and I have it shut down so it could not happen for a while. She does have water therapy twice this week and twice next week and that may be the end so from that time on it will be up to us!!! As I write this morning it is almost 7:30 and Terry is well into the Sunday paper.
One of the things I feel needs to happen is we need to start thinking like life is normal. SO today when she is hungry it will be sitting up to the table and eating and not eating in bed. I have a very nice REAL meal planned for noon and I feel Terry will really like that. I can not say what it is as I told her it will be a surprise AND sometimes she reads my blog so I will have a picture of it tomorrow! IF anybody reads my blog they know that I like pictures!
I cut out the brackets for the NCAA men's BB tournament and after the first day I have 64% correct! Not bad but not so good either! Will see who wins today.

It is a Sunday in which we do have church. Rev Mailing serves THREE churches and so he has services every Sunday in Veblen and every other Sunday in our church and in another church only 2 miles away. As Joan, Helen, Dave and I are getting ready for church and Sunday School Dad informs Mom that he is NOT going to church today. Pheasant hunting started yesterday so Dad is staying home to make sure there are NO hunters on our land. Also to make sure there is NO shooting towards our house. It is almost kind of common for cars to stop on the road and IF they see birds in the trees to the east of our house they feel they are open game. More than once we have had BBs hit the shed that is near the house. I assure you that you never would have wanted to be near Dad when that happened or for that matter if he saw anyone hunting on our land. I still remember on a Saturday during hunting a car drove over the bridge to the north and then headed out on our land to the west. I had NO idea that Dad would move that fast. He raced to the car and headed south and then west to our field north of Rollofs. He met the car and it looked like July 4th with the air so blue!!!! We have no proof but it seemed that most likely a car was driving on our land the day our farm burned. We do not know how the fire started but of course it did not start by itself. It either was a cigarette thrown out the window or the muffler of a car caught the weeds on fire. Anyway here we are in mid-October and Dad is going to serve as the patrol of the day around our farm as we go to church and Sunday School. Really in the back of my mind I kind of think Dad likes his role for the day! We got home about noon and Dad was sitting in the living room reading a gun magazine as I noticed it was NOT the Bible! Well it could have been the Bible of guns, I do not know that. Anyway he reported that nothing had happened and he almost sounded as if he was a bit disappointed! All that was left for the day was some of Mom's fried egg sandwiches, some ball playing with Dave and maybe a ride to the lake to see who was there.
Here it is Sunday. Terry and I will watch church on the computer and that will be it for the day.
Here are a couple of pictures of Liam and Henry taken about 12 or so years apart
This is from their Christmas Card and it does not show that both are 6'+ but not as tall as Grandpa!!!!😁
