I remember my 50th birthday. For some strange reason the boys wanted to take me bowling. We did that and had fun. When we were finished we went to a church hall instead of going home and there was a big surprise birthday party for me that Gail had set up. NOW here we are 22 years later and I have a son who is 50. Fifty years and 1 day ago I took Gail to the Devils Lake Hospital. In those days the dad could not be in the delivery room but I spent many hours in the labor room. Finally, after a LONG time, I was ushered out and some time later John arrived. He delighted his mother with his red hair and his dad with his manly features (sorry I did not know how to say that). He became the delight of the girls in my classroom at the school for the deaf that spring. Gail could not take John out without Cheryl, Deanna and others wanting to pull him in the red wagon. Today I sit here and am so thankful for a son who does so much. With his physical being and his mental being he serves others so well and takes care of his family in a wonderful way. Happy 50th John and may you continue to make the world a better place. Love, Dad and Terry
