A disappointing tennis day but life goes on

Our match yesterday was a loss to the tune of 0-3.  Actually the scores were not all that bad but still a loss is a loss.  It was disappointing.  One of the reasons is I do need at least one more quality player.  Yesterday I was missing one of my better players and I had to bring up a 2.5 player for court 3.  That also means that often other players have to move up above where they should be playing or they have to play with a partner who is less skilled than them.  Anyway that is life.  I THINK it was our first fall match that got me down somewhat.  I know, it is only a game and in the long run of life it is but a tiny bump in the road that will soon (I hope) be forgotten.

Terry needs blood work so we arrived at the place at 6:55  this morning.  It  opens up at 7.  There was a line of about 10 people--we turned around and drove home.  We will probably go over later this morning as we THINK it will be less busy then.  Of course we will see.

Tennis at 9:00 this morning.  I think it may still be chilly at that time.  As we got in the car this morning at 6 :45 there was a chill in the air to the tune of 53 or so.  I know there may be people who read this and say they would PAY for temps like that today but.

Not much else to say today.  Yesterday I kind of expected our first Christmas card, my new drivers license and a replacement credit card--none showed up in the mailbox.  Instead there were three advertisements and a bill!  Guess my luck with the mail was about as good as on the tennis court!!!

We have our pool heater turned off for a while.  With temps this low it runs all day and maybe is kind of warm enough to use by mid afternoon.  I know, it should be fine to use without the heater but once a person gets spoiled you tend to remain that way.  I just filled my "End of the Alaska Highway" cup with FP so will sign off.
