Day 83, "Every picture has a story"
Why would I use a picture of a scale? Well most of us may not talk about the scale but for many it is a source of good or bad! An example for me was this morning. I decided at the beginning of the year that for January I was going to eat differently and step on the scale only once a week. I choose Monday as THE day. Well today is Monday so for the second time this year I stepped on the scale. IF scales do not lie it was bad news. Really, I have changed some things in my life this past week of which I am happy about BUT that darn scale just glared at me this morning with a very menacing glare. I will not go into the good, the bad and the ugly but I will say I am not all that unhappy with the first week. It is healthy to look on the bright side, right? I will again step on the scale next Monday and I hope/think/expect things to be a bit more positive! I did think about just getting rid of the darn scale and going by the fit of my tennis shirts but decided against it. I could also add that the label on the scale could read, "Caution, you may not want to look!" One did notice that the reading in the picture is dark, no use to advertise.
Yesterday was one of those vanilla days. Kind of good but not much excitement! Today may be kind of the same. I am not into sports on TV much any more but I will want to watch a bit of the national college football game tonight. When I sit down to watch a game I usually last less than a half hour and then it is on to something else.
Terry and I watched a movie last night that was kind of a tear jerkier. It was based on a true story of a couple who saved their marriage by the gal getting her husband to help her in a food/shelter place for the homeless. Most of the time when we watch a movie based on a true story I enjoy.
As I walked out to get the paper this morning at 4:30 it was a bit cool but then I guess I could have put a shirt on. It was cool but not Minnesota weather for sure.
Enough as I had a breakfast that was a bit smaller than usual and the FP has me ready to play tennis at 7:30 this morning. The breakfast, all part of the weekly plan after I stepped on the scale this morning.
