TERRY
I FORGOT TO POST THIS YESTERDAY
It is 8:40 as I write and Terry is reading the Sunday paper. She had been since 7:00. She enjoyed seeing her grand daughter Stephanie, her husband and great daughter Zelda.
Of course when you can you must get a FOUR generation picture as Terry, son Brian, Stephanie and Zelda were all here.
Zelda is a little cutie and she helped me prepare the turkey dinner!!!!!!--kind of
Stephanie and family are traveling around the eastern US and I guess we will see them again in a couple of weeks.
Brian flies out at 10:30 today so will shortly drive him to the airport which is 20 minutes away. He and Tammy are now living in a 5th wheel and are currently parked near Kansas City. I think they plan to winter in Texas as Brian spent many years living there. Terry was able to have a nice visit with grand daughter Stephanie as she had not seen her for some time and had never seen Zelda so that was fun. As for me I spent most of the day preparing a turkey dinner with a few side dishes. I brined the turkey and I do think it turned out very well.
As one knows it is always nice to see family and have time to catch up but if I want to be honest I am looking forward to Terry and I just being together this afternoon. We are lucky as we will see Stephanie in a couple of weeks again.
As I shopped at the grocery store yesterday I took a little time to look at real Christmas trees. I do think they have gone UP in price. A nice looking Fraser Fir that was a bit shorter than I had a price on it of $57! I thought I may enjoy our tiny fake one again this year! BUT as I am sure everyone is aware that prices have gone through the roof so to speak on everything. So I would say batten down the hatch and pay or cut back on things one can get along without. NOT sure I said that right BUT you get the idea.
I think I am feeling a bit old this week. John, the youngest of my four kids, will turn 51 on Wednesday. Oh my but it really does not seem ALL that long ago that we brought him home from the hospital. A funny thing. I thought I remembered the name of the hospital but looked it up and it has changed names now. BUT with more digging I found out that my memory still is not completely gone as it was Mercy Hospital way way back then! John, Travis and Aaron were all born in Devils Lake.
No here it is 8:05 and I need to get Brian on the road by 8:30. He has been in the bedroom the last couple of days until past 11:00 but he said he would put his alarm on so I trust he will be ready in 25 minutes. I will sign off but MAY add more later but no promises. So I will add that I am enjoying a large cup of FP and now thinking about Christmas Days of the past!
