Hello October 2020

 Terry

Terry had her left foot X rayed and it appears that all is going well.  She still has a ways to go before she can put full weight on it but we were happy.  We did have a very disappointing call from our in home company.  Destiny would not come and the word was she was not comfortable with what we asked her to do.  She was such a delight to have so it was very disappointing.  BUT what happened next was even worse.  Her replacement came at 11:30 and I was told that we would be very happy with her as she always did a very nice job.  Well she walked into the house at 11:35 and her perfume filled the air.  Terry is very sensitive to that and so I told her she would have to leave!  I called the gal who owns the company and explained what happened.  I guess she will come on Monday again without the aroma!!!  I guess the adventure of Terry's recovery goes on and on!

Here it is only 6:00 and I am well into my blog for the day.  I THINK I feel rested.  We will have no in home care today and tomorrow as tomorrow Terry has a 11:00 doctor appointment and I just did not want a person to start today and then have an odd day tomorrow so once again we will see how things pan out starting Monday!  There is nothing like adventure when it comes to life.

I do have tennis today at 8:00 and then I am supposed to have a half hour lesson at 11:00 but I may cancel that.  I think it is too much time away from Terry when there is no in home care.

Jenny brought a meal yesterday at 5:30 and the scalloped potatoes and ham were very good.  THE problem is my mind must have gone south as I had a meal ready for 6:00 in the crock pot!!!  Yes, I knew the meal was coming so no excuses on my part.  Well I guess there will be left overs for today.

Terry's daughter Kim and her husband Dave should be home by now as they drove the 600 miles yesterday.  I hope Kim's recovery is on the short side and I hope she heals fast but as I read on the computer yesterday that a break in the tibia usually takes 4-6 months.  I am hoping Kims recovery is much much less than that as Kim is just too active to be layed up for that time.

My computer has been giving me fits over the last two days but maybe I can finish my story about the bridge today with two more pictures.

This is the small pond on the east side of the bridge that Dave and I spent so much time at by throwing rocks, trying to spot tiny fish and just having fun.  If one could stand on the bridge and look east over this part of the creek you would see the east farm land that we used to have.

This is looking west from the bridge.  The over grown banks on both sides were part of our pasture.  The tiny object in the middle of the picture is a deer stand now but when we owned the land there was a long groove of trees and then there was a road/path between the groove and the fence line.

To see what it is today and then to think of all the work and fun we had by the bridge, the pasture and in the fields brings tears to my eyes but then time marches on and there are progress and improvements in all areas of our lives!!!
It is time to put hot water on for my FP and start the day as it is now close to 7:00
