First Friday of 2020 October

 TERRY

Here we are at Friday and looking at a weekend that is not all that exciting!  Terry had a visit with her primary doctor today and that was not much.  Dr. Costello said Terry looked good and she agreed that getting the feeding tube out would be good.  We have now gone several days without using it to feed in liquid and I know Terry is doing just fine.  It is Dr. Cohen Tuesday and then hopefully getting it out a short time after that.  It is a surgery but it should not be a big deal.  Terry does not like to go to doctor appointments and I don't blame her but really it is good for her to get out, get in and out of the car etc.  Enough for now.

We are having a quiet and rainy Friday.  The sun is nowhere to be seen and the rain comes and goes.  It appears it will be this way into the night.

Darn sometimes I think I am losing it.  I purchased a delicious sub sandwich yesterday and then totally forgot about eating it!  I unwrapped it at noon today and the bread was soggy so we did not eat it.  Terry was not that unhappy as I made one of my "go to' tuna, dill pickle and mayo sandwiches and she does enjoy them.  Maybe with my culinary skills I may make a wicked toasted cheese for tonight!!!

I ordered a book that Terry wanted and it came in 24 hours BUT it is a STUDY GUIDE and that is not what I intended.  I ordered the correct thing just a few minutes ago and it should come tomorrow.  The study guide as postmarked KY and it arrived in the mail in 14 hours.  Wow things are different today than years ago.

We have had cooler weather the last two days.  As I write at 4:00 PM it is 73 and the last many many days it would have been 90+.  I am scheduled to play tennis tomorrow at 9:00 but it may be too wet.

I had a frustrating time this afternoon.  I has stopped our in home care several days ago but was sure we were due out security deposit back.  I had to spent an hour and a half before I was finally able to get things straightened out but for now we are to get a check in the next two weeks for $840.  I guess it was time well spent but still I do not like to do things like that.

I think that is about all for now.  Saturday, Sunday here we come.

  1. I would say that getting the feeding tube out is a step in the right direction. As long as you keep seeing improvements, however small, it's good. Keep it up and the end result that you're working for will come to be! Same here, still unpacking but getting some golf in as one cannot be all work! :-) We've had beautiful weather! A little cool in the AM but 70's during the day. I wore my first slacks of the season today, I needed them. I really don't like transitioning back to long pants since that means winter is on it's way. Oh well, it'll come whether I want it to or not! I'll get things settled eventually. I can now find most things in my kitchen. So much to do I go around in circles some days. I'll get it done however long it takes. Perseverance, that's what I need! :-) Hope you have a dry day for tennis. Also that you get all the drs appointments straight and the care givers start to work out. I guess I was pretty lucky when I needed them. Take care of yourself, Love Helen
