I spent yesterday decompressing and getting mostly unpacked. Oh yes, I did make some lists of "to do" things. I guess that is me. This morning I woke up late after lying in bed awake from midnight to 2:00 AM. I am kind of in "normal mode" now. The paper came in, sports went on the kitchen table and the rest went upstairs for Terry, sausage, hash browns, eggs and FP were enjoyed (mind you I had to do ALL the cooking!). Before I embark on some work I will get in a short bike ride to see if I have real legs and not airplane or sea legs.
2094 Niles is slowly taking on a new look. The dining room table and eight chairs now reside in South Bend, the china/hutch now reside across the river and the over all look has changed. Kind of like life, change is the only certain thing in life. I could go down my list of "to do' but not sure there is enough time in the day!!!
The weather is warm here. Temp yesterday got up to 93 and it looks like it will be about 89 today. Should be in the 80s the rest of the week. As I look ahead on my phone it shows Deb should have perfect weather for her sale on the 25th, next Thursday.
Deb Binde's auction sale is next week and we will go up for that. Not to buy anything but just to be there. The word is she is selling machinery and tools which means the crowd will be farmers looking for a good deal, kind of what Dale did all the time. I don't think Dale had any new or special machinery but I am guessing farmers may be able to find some good deals. I have not heard but I assume Deb has rented out her land for the year. Mark left a message on my phone this morning and said Marian is getting weaker and eats very little but is still hanging in there. It would be a blessing if she could now retire to her final resting place which she is looking forward to but it is never possible to know what God has in mind today, tomorrow or beyond. As far as I know she is comfortable and has little or no pain so that is good.
Travis did a great job when we were gone. We came home to a house with AC on, lawn mowed and the garden looks like it could be straight out of Hawaii with vegetation crying to spread all over the yard. I actually picked a cherry tomato and Terry said it was delicious but it could have been a day or more in the garden.
I may must sit and write all day which means I do not need to get to work--oh I suppose the work would then not get done, right?
So it is down to the last sip of FP and then on to my "normal life" which I am so thankful for.
What a sight! Hope there are more pictures coming!
