As I sit and type the weather is cloudy and cool and it appears it will stay that way. 55 now and it will not get out of the 60s as the day wears on.
Well I thought I had a fairly good start to our stay in MN up until yesterday. There has been a new garden plot, things are planted, the fences are around the garden, railings have been put up, my wood shop is cleaned up and ready to go BUT yesterday was a BUST. I accomplished NOTHING and was in for the day by mid afternoon. I look at the summer and say to myself, "I can NOT afford those days if things are going to get done". BUT then I woke up this morning and said to myself that I do NOT have to go to work so maybe I can get on track again today.
I did have a bit of therapy yesterday. For the first time this summer I pushed start on my table saw and the sound of it and the oder of wood made me feel like I was sitting in a spa with easy chairs and aroma all around me. I should explain I have never been in a spa but I can imagine! I am in the process of making a threshold for our bedroom upstairs and it did not go so well yesterday. I do enjoy creating things for a purpose with wood so will give it another shot today. I am also thinking of making a column of wood going up stairs and I THINK I should get a router bit for that. One should know that "another project means another tool"!
No it is time to cut the words and get to work. Once again I had a healthy breakfast sandwich BUT then fell for 2 so the calories probably were too many anyway! I have come to really like the egg beater, a slice of Canadian Bacon, a thin slice of cheese all on a light English Muffin. Wait, I just looked up the calories on everything: muffin=100, cheese=45, bacon=20, egg= 40 and add 50 for a T of heavy cream and really I think 2 sandwiches are OK as long as I only put the heavy cream in the first cup of FP. Way to go Carmen.
