HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY RUBY
It has been a week since I wrote last and an interesting week indeed. Last Friday I celebrated my 65th birthday. Terry and I had a fun day and topped it off with a wonderful sea food meal in a nice restaurant. I received one birthday card that encouraged me to do something I had never done before.----So being the kind of adventurous guy I did.
Monday I woke up and went on a short run. We then had breakfast with Terry's brother and wife who spent the weekend with us. They left at 9:00 AM and Terry had tennis at 10:30 so she left at 10:15. About 11:25 I felt something was not right--I was able to get on my bike, ride the short distance to the tennis courts and motion for Terry to come off the court. I said something was not right.
By 12:30 I was in the hospital ER. I have only a foggy memory of the time between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM or so. I had a ultrasound, a MRI and a echogram(sp). It seems all checked out OK. By mid afternoon on Monday I was back to normal but with the need for the tests I stayed in the hospital over night and was not released until about 6:00 PM yesterday. At this time I have no restrictions on diet or activity and no physical or mental effects. So much for doing something I had never done. I do have a follow up appt with the Dr. next Friday just to make sure all is OK. So much for the past week.
We are excited for tomorrow. We are having three sun tunnels installed in the house here. We share a wall with the neighbor so one side of the house has no windows. It will be exciting to have more natural light in the house. We will put one in the entry way, one in the kitchen and one in the living room. They should be able to complete the work in one day.
Jerry and Susan will come Friday and stay over night and we can hardly wait. They are in Lakeland now visiting her dad. Then in about three weeks Aaron/Amy and kids will be here so February will be a good month.
No coffee now as it is bed time so I only say it is time for some shut eye.
