September 2020 here we come

TERRY
This may be the highlight day of the week.  Yesterday the office from Terry's primary care doctor called.  Terry made Doctor Costello her primary doctor when we came down here July 27th but she has not seen her yet.  Costello was highly recommended by others.  I received a call from the office yesterday and they said that Dr. Costello could see Terry in 2 or 3 weeks.  "When would I like to set up an appointment?" is what they asked me.  In a very nice way I replied "I would like her to see the doctor tomorrow"!  I almost fell off my chair when the lady said "I think that can work!"  So Terry has an appointment for 1:00 today!!!!!  I need to write down a long list of questions for the doctor and I will get that finished before I eat breakfast.  I just hope we are not disappointed.

In the summer of 2011 Terry and I spent a lot of time on our bikes.  Here we rode to the state capital as Terry had serviced as a senator there from 1988-1994.  It was a fun ride as there was a lot of conversation and we rode on Summit Ave past the many many beautiful huge homes.  We visited the capital again a couple of years ago as they had an open house after the 300 million dollar renovation which restored it to its spectacular beauty again.

I received this picture from a friend.  This is cousin Arlene who just had her 93rd birthday.  Behind her is her son Phillip and his wife Karen.  Arlene is in a home in Lidgerwood and she just has such a great attitude.  She is so so appreciative and happy to have company and at 93 her mind is sharp as a tack.  She is so happy now as she can get outside some.  For a long time she could have no visitors and they could not go outside.  She lived on her own in Veblen until about 3 years ago when she fell and it was decided she needed to move.  The last time Terry and I visited her she mentioned that Phillip calls her often in the morning.  She may beat her mother Bertie who lived to be 96.  Bertie was Mom's older sister.  Phillip is in the category of "A wonderful North Dakota farmer"!

Today will revolve around Terry's visit to the doctor.  I THINK I have an actual tennis match set up for Thursday.  IF it happens it will be interesting to see how I do as I have not played in this heat yet.

I am going to make this short today.  I still have some of my FP coffee left so will sign off and savor it for a while.
