I am back to my "normal" ways today after having breakfast out with Larry B on Tuesday and Travis on Wednesday. Then yesterday, after Terry's appt, we stopped for lunch on our way home. So it was kind of good to take the two fry pans out this morning and put hash browns in one and sausage and eggs in the second. Then as the food was ready I poured my FP into 2 T of heavy cream and sat down to eat and read the sports section. That was after I slid the paper under the upstairs door so that Terry can enjoy her morning read as I am on Bentley for my ride which I missed Tuesday and Wednesday.
I am really at a loss as to where June and July went. Really it seems like we arrived in St. Paul just a short time ago and here we are TWO months later.
There still is "the good old way" for some places. Terry and I stopped in a store and purchased several items Tuesday afternoon. The place does not take credit cards, only cash or check. With a check they do not require ANY ID and our check blanks have our FL address. Anyway Terry put 3 items on the counter and said we have 2 of each. About the same time I put an item on the counter. On our way home we realized we were charged for two of my thing which cost $39 and we only had 1. I called when we got home and they said just come in any time and we will make it right. Well the next day I was near the store so I stopped in and gave the story. They asked what I wanted to do. I said I can just get a second item so I took it off the shelf and headed out the door! End of story. How many places today would do that? I would say not many.
I took 3 gallons of paint into the store to have them mixed up as I had not used them in a year. As I gathered them up I said this is a lot better than having to pay for them as of course there was no cost to mix them again. The gal said you are right as that gallon with the red paper on is now $100+!!!!!! I am thinking I had better be pretty darn careful as I paint with that "gold".
No it is 7:15 and I am primed for a short ride. The breakfast is history, the FP is history, I am completing my daily blog and "oh" I do need to get some clothes on for the ride!
