This past week of course flew by. We were gone 2 days but still managed to get some things done. We now have only about 2 hours left and ALL of the painting will be finished. I still have some trim to replace but some of that has been done. I want to do some work with the door as when it comes down it is not straight where the top of the door meets the door frame and I want to do some chalking but the majority is finished. We also got a some work done in the house and the lawn was mowed twice this week. Also got weed and feed on the lawn before the rains came.
We traveled to Madison Friday morning and had lunch with Aaron at his work. He took us on a tour of his bike place which was very interesting. We then got to take care of Leo and Ruby while Aaron went back to work for a short time and A/A went out on a short date and we again had the kids. Our plan was to get up, go on a bike ride and head home but------ I had a shingles shot on Thursday and a reaction started in Friday afternoon. By the time 9 PM came I was out and ready for bed. As Terry tried to look at her e-mail on the computer in the room next to where we slept she could hear my teeth chattering so she piled on several blankets and finally I was able to go to sleep. In the morning I knew I would be no good on a bike ride so we went out for breakfast, put the bikes on the car and headed home. Aaron did major things to the other red bike and it looks great. Will it help Terry with her neck problem we do not know but we will give it a try. (As I write this I am sipping a homemade brew from Aaron and it is very good. Any way it is good to get the bike changed like Aaron did the other one over a year ago.
John/Mary and kids will stop for a short time this Saturday. They will be on their way to the west coast and then the Black Hills for the reunion after that.
The Lee family reunion is less than 4 weeks away. In fact in 4 weeks it will be history. It will be so fun to see people, spend time with them and I am sure remember past family events. I think I am correct when I say that yesterday would have been mother and dad's 76 anniversary. Each of them would have turned 100 this year in October.
Terry and I have several things we would like to complete this week so will see what gets done. It actually is lining up as fairly busy with meetings, dinner with John K on Wednesday and company on Saturday but we all like to be kept busy so life is good.
Brother Dave turns 67 this Wednesday. An early happy birthday Dave.
I think it is going to be an early bed tonight but need to ice that darn shot place on my arm as that helps a bit. I could complain about the effect of the shot but if it prevents shingles these little side things now are nothing.
Carmen,
ReplyDeleteYes, mom and dad's wedding day was June 25. That is one of the days I do remember. Thanks for the birthday wish. The summer is going too fast. Had 3 inches of rain yesterday and time to mow the grass.
